Guys-

I have at times needed to play midi files while on break, to fill up some time for various reasons....not often...but every once in a while...

When I pull up my midi files (songs) that are either on my hard drive and/or a floppy...I'm able to select 1 song to actually fire and start to play...plus a 2nd, which will begin playing once the first song ends.

Can I string together more than just 2 songs? It's silly to have to walk back to the Tyros and keep adding 1 song at a time to the queu (sp?) ...

Thanks

Bill in Dayton

Bill, every arranger keyboard that I have owned allowed me to arrange a song list and save as a song set..I never used a KN, but I am pretty sure you can do this on your board..It is a matter of selecting songs from your source [hard drive or floppy], and save the song list on the same source]..

Alternate suggestion: sequence together a dozen midi files as one midi file then just call it up as "break.mid" or something like it. Just put about two seconds of nothing between the songs.

Bill,
I don't know about the Tyros but the PSR2000 has in the Midi function settings a "chain play" which will just go down all of the songs in a row and continuously play them. When it gets to the end I believe it starts again at the top. It can be what is programmed or on a floppy.
Check under SONG/Selection/Selection Control I/II/III/IV/V/VI
(Chain, Random and Next reservation are available.)

Here are a couple of alternate suggestions: 1) get an mp3 player and record your midi files into the player as mp3's. OR 2) use a laptop and play your midi files directly from Windows Media Player. Just a thought
