Hi,

I have a question: does anyone know if the arpeggiator of the Korg Trition sends out the arpeggios as midi data so that you can record the arpeggios with an external midi software sequencer (Cubase, Logic, etc..)?!!

Oh yeah, are the knobs movements (like filter cutoff, resonance) transmitted to midi out?!

I was hoping somebody could let me know this! Thanks!!

I'm not shure about the Triton but usually all that gets transmitted with an arpeggiator are the actual notes that are played (keys that are pressed) and an arpeggiator on/off control messgge.

Both the note transmitted by the arpeggiator and the knob movements are sent as MIDI data, and recorded with the on-board sequencer.

Well, actually it depends. If your tempo is set to internal all the arpegiated notes are sent. However, if your triton is set to sync to external clock then just your initial chord is sent to midi. Yep, this means if you use your sequencer as your clock you cant arpeggiate other midi gear. Useful huh?

I'm confused. I've tried to send a midi arpeggiation from the combi section on my Triton to my Digital Performer application every way I can think of and all that sends is the initial note. What is the specific procedure for doing this? I know I can record in audio, but that defeats the purpose of midi...

Check your sequencer to see that sync is enabled, at least that's the problem I had with my K25.
