There are many CDs advertised on Ebay for '60,000' Yamaha styles sutable for the Tyros - can anyone comment on these?

How does one go about buying all professional styles that are currently available (i.e. made for) Yamaha arrangers/the Tyros - is there a resource where these are listed?

Many thanks for any input

Beware of some of those Ebay CDs. There are many styles compiled on some of them that are generally available for free. I have seen conversions that I have done myself and given away free, for sale in several places.

There's no need to buy any Yamaha styles especially off Ebay, there are thousands for free on the internet. I think most people selling them on Ebay are just putting their own net collection onto a CD and making a fast profit by selling someone elses work.
If you use the links on Synthzone under the make of keyboard you have, many home pages have styles on them and some of these sites have links onto others, the list is endless but the only problem is that quite a few styles are duplicated all over the place under different names.
I'm sure some kind soul on SZ would send you some Tyros styles.

Yamaha sell the ones available on their IDC link for the T2. I think at the last count there were about 50+ available and they are very good quality, just as good if not better than some of the internal ones.
Some people have also mentioned Midispot (think that's right) and PVK for good styles for the T2.

Here is the link for the PVK styles:
http://www.midifiles.dk/category.42.article.775

And here is the link for the Midispot Styles:
http://midispot.andmccoy.com/site-box.cfm?SIID=1&SEID=173&CATID=1048

The T1 styles from midispot sound also great on the T2 since they use Mega Voices.
