I thought that the PSR8000 had a gorgeous look to it, I dont think much of the PSR9000 though.... I have never liked the look of any other of their lesser keyboards. There are only 3 keyboards that I really liked the look of from Yamaha and thats the PSR5700, PSR7000 & PSR8000...
I agree, the PSR-8000 is one of the best-looking keyboards Yamaha has made. For different reasons, I liked the PSS-680 (or whatever one had 61 mini-keys and drum pads over the full width of the keyboard).
You bring a tear to my eye!!! The 61 mini-key keyboard you mentioned was in fact the PSS-780, i remember it well because it was my first ever keyboard all those years ago!!! (wiping my tears away now)....
I think they only good looks are the Korg i30. Simple, yet effective. With a touch screen that works brilliantly, but still importatn LIVE performance functions easy accesible ON the keyboard (fills, varations etc).
I still have my PSS-680 -- and even my PSS-480!!! They would fetch so little, why sell them. You can even MIDI them up with the new PSRs to use their neat styles. Yes, things have sure come a long way....
