Has anyone here used this recorder? In the end I chose this over the Fostex for several reasons... I'm having problems with the send/return effects... Anyone ever use this recorder?

What's up Dan0, Well I'm trying to use the send return effects, and I['m running into problems.. The manual doesn't really state the manor or shall I say the limits to the uses. I recorded a guitar solo on track one and I used the Mono Chorus effect, and then record a second part on track two which I used the mono short effect. When I did this it changed the effect on track one from chorus to the short effect... It was my understanding that the Zoom will allow multiple effects, and that you're limited to using one Stereo effect and the rest can be mono for a song (meaning one effect per track)... Am I missing something? I've figured out everything on this machine in just 2 hours, but the effects are confusing me. In the manual the way it's written, you can choose a differnt "insert" effect per track, but says nothing about the send/return effects.

Thanks Dan0,
Squeak

If you "insert" the effect(during recording) it gets printed to the track for life, and can no longer be remixed for level or type .... if you use the effects bus ... it is global and does NOT get recorded .... only played in real time.

Thanks UD... Since the insert effects are actually recorded into the track, is it possible to use more than one per song?

Great! Thanks UD... I think I'll buy the Zoom 505II guitar effects pedal.. Tried one out the other day and for $69.00 it's a damn good deal..

Squeak, You might want to check out the Behringer guitar "pod" thing. It is really wonderful for guitar processing. Several of my friends have it. It is quite inexpensive also.
