Is it possible to send a click (metronome) to a drummer from Tritons sequencer? And if it is, how to do it...

It would really save my day...

hvedekim,

Though I don't have a triton yet, I wanted to try to guess what you can do. I am thinking that you could have a cymbal sound as your click and route it to one of the individual outputs, which should go to your drummer. If this will work, then the cymbal (or whatever sound you wanted) wouldn't be audible in the main system, but be routed to the drummer. This is just a guess, but something I would try if I were in your shoes. Let me know if it works.

Hi,

You'll end up eating up one of your sequencer tracks to do this (as the Triton does not have a dedicated click output) but you can take a percussive sound and route it to one of the extra outputs that you are not using. Then take a cable from that output and send it directly to whichever mixer is feeding your drummer's headphone amp.

In terms of sounds, take something that has a sharp, cutting percussive sound that is very distinguishable. A cymbal is probably not a good choice. Since no one is hearing this but the drummer, use either a sidestick sound or a cowbell or something like that which has no decay.

Hi again...

Actually it is possible to send a click without using the tritons tracks. If you look in the properties menu in sequncer-mode (at the buttom), you can setup your metronome. Just select Rec&play, and direct it to any of your outputs, and the only one who will hear it, is the drummer. Nice...
