Here's the official Yamaha video for the MM6 done by Bert. Oddly enough this video has surfaced on YouTube, and not Yamaha's site for the Motif Line. Anywho here's the video for those interested. This video clearly shows the MM6 is Yammie's new "modern" arranger.

Bert also shows a bit of the "arranger" section as well. He demonstrates the drum patterns alone, then with full orchestration. I just wish that at this price point they at least allowed "actual user slots" for the voices. If anyoen does buy this unit, I would throw "caution" towards the real-time control knobs. The knobs themselves are from the Yamaha DJX, and if they used the same "posts" and center stops, those were quite cheap, and the center stop wore out really fast.

If I ever open a Used Car Lot I want this
guy (Bert) working for me. Great salesman -
would love to see him demo a Vacuum Cleaner.

Yeah, Bert isn't your typical Yammie demo guy He has a lot of energy in every demo I've seen of his, and he's always cracking jokes too.

Actually on the topic of Bert, anyone else notice in this demo and his others how "hard" Bert pounds the buttons??? In his Motif ES demo, he's killing those things I wonder how long button contacts last with him.....

This guy is really in a class by himself. He could probably sell a square tire.

I just can't imagine how any arranger (or keyboard) manufacturer would consider anyone less enthusiastic or knowledgeable than Bert.....

Some of the slugs I've seen demoing Rolands and MS (amongst others) make me wonder if they realize how a poor demo hurts sales..... and a great one can make sales, even if the keyboard has flaws.

However much money Bert makes, it isn't enough!

I agree Diki, the person demoing the unit can really make or break first impressions. Anyone see that Roland G-70 demo by Michael Stegner? Boy was that boring! It was like listening to Ben Stein doing a demo
