If the weight is a problem you should look at the smaller sisters E-50/E-60, but I think that the quality of E-80 (I mean, for instance, its on board amplification) is worth its weight.

I checked all the new Roland arrangers in Frankfurt Musik Messe and I was very impressed of their quality.
I hope you can check them soon so you can judge by yourself.

weight is not a problem but an annoyance...
in a small situation powerful onboard speakers would suffice eg:75-100 watts....but when playing different venues every night your gonna need some exterior amplifictaion for sure............

Just think you won't have to keep up your gym membership to get a workout. All you have to do is take that to 2 or 3 gigs a day and you can drop the membership.
