I'm getting a desire to have more of the mix be me rather than canned. I've been experimenting with a Technote one octave midi controller bass pedal board.

It's identical to the Ketron. The pedal boards default is channel 3, so I'm using that.

Here's the way I've been setting it up:

Plug into Midi A in
Function>Midi>Midi Pedal 1>Edit>Receive

Then I set Channel 3 to Right 3

My favorite sound so far is Sub Bass set an octave higher with a little reverb and sustain added, pretty much like your typical organ bass sound.

This all works fine, I've saved them into the Reg Mem.

BUT, if I want to change back to arranger mode, I get all slash chords with C in the bass on everything. The only way I can get rid of this is to reset the keyboard. Which means I have to set my mixer and hold on accompaniment parts etc everytime.

Is there a better way to do this? I hate to loose Right 3 to just bass. Is there a way where I can do the pedals and still have Right 1,2 and 3 available to use?

Then what about changing from pedals to arranger mode quickly back and forth like I might like to do live. Is this possible without resetting it every time?

Also, is there a way to save those parameters instead of having to go through each step everytime I want to do pedals?

If not, should this not be capable of doing this and is this something that a OS update could fix?

Late last year The Yamaha club in the UK produced the Reggi Stick, (An updated Reggi Stick Plus is due out in October) and amongst other facilities had configurations for all types of setup, all of which had been done by Yamaha Professionals, thus all the user has to do is select the type of setup they have from a menu, and the keyboard is automatically set-up. (It also allows easy switching between different modes)
