well here's the conclusion
recently sweetwater had serviced my k2vx for a power supply problem so i decided to ship it back to them for the voltage problem and sur enough and very simply it looks like they'd forgotten to plug a certain wire that connect the batteries to the keyboard and all they said is sorry and of course i had to pay for one way shipping.

I would DEFINETLY e-mail Chuck Surack on that one Ed. If that was me, I would have made them pay for the one way shipping and let me choose a floppy for the K. That would be the customer friendly thing to do.
