Well it finally came today after a long 3 week wait...first thing I noticed, (being used to a PSR3000) was its sleek lines, if it was black it could be mistaken for a Stealth bomber from a distance..Keyboard action feels very good...not sure about the tilting screen...this is a first for me and I'm dubious about the long term effect on the ratchet mechanism with the high amount of gigs I do...time will tell.

As I'm in the middle of a house move I've only tried it out on headphones but the SA voices sound impressive, the styles I tried were ones I used a lot on the PSR3000 and they will definately need a bit of tweaking, that is going to be a long programming task to input my usuall song registrations which during a gig, I have a list of about 200+ songs/instrumentals which all need to be programmed, hopefully I can double up on some.

I never use Midi files, so its a matter of patience, trial and error getting all the styles to my liking.

What I do find a problem when programming my registrations is that I do it in a home environment on smallish speakers, then go out and plug the keyboard into a 500watt PA...yikes...all the levels need redoing again...on stage I use 2 Peavey SP2 speakers, these speakers are each the size of washing machines and really give out a big sound, The SP2's were originally 'Chas & Dave's' PA speakers, for anyone who's never heard of 'Chas & Dave' they are a Cockney(London)Duo who had a few British hits in the Eighties.

My next job is Saturday night, I can't see the T2 being ready for that as much as I'd like it to be..I need to get comfortable with the slightly different panel layout and I noticed that the left hand voice still turns itself off when you change any of the OTS's

I will endeavour to post some pieces (a first for me) soon

Hey Rich (Rich uk) if you fancy trying the T2 any time, give me a ring 077965 97138

Rgds

Stone the crows! Chas & Dave! They're still knocking about aren't they. Here in the Great White North we still do The Bangin' In Yer 'Ead and Gertcha when we do any gig with a vaguely British connection - always goes down well. Have fun with the T2, eh?
