Does anyone know how to protect a channel from voice stealing on a K2000?

I recently purchased a K2000, and for some of the sequences I've composed, I'd like to keep one of the channels running a string patch free of voice stealing, forcing the polyphony of other channels to be compromised instead.
Is there any way to prioritize a channel in this way or does the voice stealing algorithm always call the shots?

I'd greatly appreciate any help with this. Thanks in advance...

I'm pleased to report that I found the answer to my query by doing a little research online. For the benefit of others that may be interested, I've enclosed a couple of links to the relevant information.
