I was up late last night recording on the psr2100 and i ran into a problem. I was recording with the "Disco Chocolate" style on tracks 9 and 10 by using the auto drums with both accmp and ots switched off. I am triggering the drums fills myself with auto fill and a,b,c,d pads. Ok...here's the thing....i get to bar 32 and the friggin drums decide they want to do a crash cymbal there out of the blue!!! This has happened before when recording too. I have all the other instruments for that style turned off except rhy1 and rhy2. Help pleaseeeeee. Thanks....

If its just one cymbal crash...you can easily take it out with a program like Sonar, Power Tracks etc.

Thanks DNJ... I was hoping someone might know if I was doing something wrong in the recording process. Will powertracks take it out even if the cymbal crash doesn't have its own track? Its part of track10 with the rest of the drums. For some reason I cant get around it. I tried recording the drums on a different track too....no luck. It seems to happen only when i go for the 2nd track of the drums....In other words...I'm recording over my first track of drums which is my first rough cut. Doesn't anyone use the PSR for recording??? :-) Any help is appreciated....Thanks Larry.
Oh...one more thing...does anyone know a site that is dedicated to Yamaha related problems that a Yamaha service tech might pop into? Thanks again.

You can take it out on the keyboard. Go to the section of the recording menu that shows the individual tracks. Find the track the crash is on and step through it until you get to the crash. Then just delete it.

Thanks Don! I will definitely try that tonight. Any ideas on why I'm getting an unwanted crash tho? Its really frustrating. arggggggggg.

I am experiencing glitches with the PSR2100 recording. When I press the record function, I have gotten undesired styles called up. When I rechoose the correct style, and then choose intro B, I get intro C when I begin playing the style. I have to stop the sequence (keep recording) and then change intros and begin playing again. Later on, with my sequencer, I delete the undesired intro. What a hassle. I don't remember having this problem with the PSR2000.

I usualy do it on Sonar or Power Tracks. Load your Midi file..
do a "Track View" [from the tool bar] of the track in question eg: [drum #10] in this case. You will see all the drum notes within the song along the music scale.....just scroll to the measure with the problem and delete only the problem note[s] in question. Then re-save ....and your good to go!

I agree beaky! I had bought my psr2000 2 days before they made a press release for the 2100. So I had sent my 2000 back and waited for this 2100. Before i sent it back i had recorded 2 songs with NO problems whatsoever. Real straitforward without any odd sounds coming in on the recordings. But no such luck with this 2100. Do both of your boards have problems beaky? I really appreciate everyones input...it would be nice to figure out how to stop the prob instead of get around it if possible. Thanks too dnj...I usually do most of my stuff on the keyboard because it makes the midi sound better than my soundblaster card on the comp. Actually...i dont use xg voices so it probably sounds awful on anything but a 2100! Beaky do you have any midis??? :-) Take care all....Larry
