While setting up for tonite's gig and doing a sound check, I put on my Audio-Technica ATM75 headworn mic and the arm on the head rest snapped in two. Its a very thin piece of plastic and super glue did not hold it. I wrote Audio-Technica, but don't hold much hope of a fixable solution. It broke right next to the swivel that holds the miniature goose neck.

Any suggestions? If not fixable, I will be in the market for durable headworn mic and would appreciate any tips.

You could try 2-part 5-minute epoxy glue, or 2-part epoxy putty. Hold the joint with electrical tape while it dries.

I have the Crown CM311A. The sound is super clear and powerful. The mic is very comfortable and looks very sturdy. Caveat: Must wear small belt pack for phantom power and plug XLR connector into a XLR to 1/4" adapter.

Thanks to Larry and MBL for your replies. I will certainly try the epoxy in order to salvage the mic. But, I looked up the Crown CM311A on several sites and it looks like a winner from several standpoints. Thanks again.

Audio Technica's service manager, Jim Walker, responded to my Email and is sending a complimentary replacement headband.
