Hi Kelly,
I am a happy owner of an iS40 for almost 2 years. Pros are excellent sounds, especially piano, EP and pads. There are great sound tweaking options, almost like a dedicated synth, touch and after touch, and powerfull sequencer and edit tools.
Cons are limited polyphony (32, barely enough for elaborate arrangements), lack of modern styles (not compatible with PA-80 range), and organ and brass sounds are not very good.
all in all, it is a great instrument for first steps in arrangement, sequencing and live performances in Jazz and 70-80 dance gigs.

Kelly, you might want to check roland E09 at Murphy's music in Irving, I thought you mentioned E09 in your earlier post, I saw one over there last week, and you can check it in person, thanks!
