Guys-
I currently use two EV 15" Power Force for my mains via a Behringer PMX 2000 10 channel stereo mixer. I typically play for crowds from 75 - 300 pp on the weekends...
Question: What would the difference be I would have if I added a sub to my set up? Would it be worth the $300-$500 in cost?
Any first-hand experience with a set-up similar to mine?
Thanks-

I use a Mackie 808s powered mixer with 300c Mackie 2-ways. I use an EV Sxa121 12" sub and it just fills out the sound immensely. I hardly ever have my mixer turned up past 6 and the sub lets me dial down a little further. It ads enough body to make me want to carry it around; it's about the same size and weight as the speaker, about 30 lbs.

It's ALWAYS been about the bass. Fill out the bottom, and the dancers feel it in their gut. Makes 'em wanna move. Baby got back? Bass moves that back! Nuff said.
