Hi All,

Yesterday I went to the local sam ash store and saw psr1000 there. I played it, I twicked it, I tried to record something - everything worked fine for me. Good sounds, easy to use to do anything there, very basic styles though (I can compare them with VA series keyboards and those were awesome!).

Anyway, after I played psr1000 I was pleasantly surprised that they had pa-80 in there too. I played it too.

Man! The sounds so GREAT, it's unbelievable. After pa-80, yamahas new psr1000 sounds like CRAP. Sorry guys who own yamaha. I think pa-80 and va series keybaords have the best sounds out there. I dunno about solton or technics or gem, they didn't have them (unfortunately).

Anyway, I wonder when pa-60 will be available in the US and what is the approximate price on that. Also, this is for pa-80 owners, how is your keyboard doing after the 3.something updates? Is it still buggy? And can you get good styles for pa-80/60 over the internet like for psr keybaords?

Is it easy to record and is the sequencer powerful there?

My PA80 is doing fine. No bugs whatsoever. It works like a charm for live [play for me. I like the sounds too compared to the PSR line. I can't beat on Yamaha sounds though. I have the Motif now and nothing I've evere owned has ever sounded so good. The styles on the PA series are very good, but not for every song, so I've gotten pretty good at converting styles for it too and I am working on converting my favorite PSR and other styles for it. They sound just as they did when I had my 740 and the 2000. I will have them available when I'm done for anyone who wants them.
