I just accidently found something that Van Basco users may or may not know.
If you open a midi file with lyrics and right-click on the lyrics, a box opens and you can click on "copy". All the lyrics are placed into the copy buffer for use in a word or text file.
Don't know that I'll use that, but somebody might!

Neat. I'm sure that will come in handy for copying lyrics to MS Word and other word processors.

Thanks for the tip,

Gary

Another Van Basco tip open the program and drag a kar or midi, from any folder or desktop to it and it begins playing, great for changing tunes in a live situation. You don't have to use the playlist.

Thanks for mentioning this. I will find this useful. Looks like it even formats it nicely into verses.

I always tell people to never underestimate the power of the right click in Windows.

I never use the playlist - instead, I have my midi files in a single folder that stays open so I can view about 80 files at a glance. A simple keystroke of the first letter takes me to the area I need and I use the arrow keys to direct me to the exact file. Push "enter" and it plays.
Dragging is cumbersome for me while I'm doing other stuff. The arrow buttons are a snap!
