Hello Kurzweil users,
The spec summary of the K2600 lists "interactive song arranger" as one of the features. Could anyone please expound on this functionality?
I play an arranger keyboard, which allows me to play generic accompaniment patterns (pre-programmed) in the key specified by the left-hand chord being played. Whenever I change the chord (say from Dm to A7), the instrument recognizes this change and switches the accompaniment being played to the new chord. The accompaniment continues looping until I press Stop button.
Is the K2600 Interactive Song Arranger a similar function? How exactly does it work?

The K2600 does not do auto accompaniment. What is does allow you to do is assign different sequences to different keys on the keyboard. These can be triggered live, allowing you to choose different arrangements/songs on the fly and transpose them across the keyboard. This system does not recognise chord changes. It simply triggers the pre-recorded sequence in whatever key you specify.
Many of the K2600's Setups utilize this feature to create everything from acoustic guitar grooves to techno mayhem.
