I like my K2000 alot, i think it sounds great. But is there a way to arrange your own sound banks? I have to find a quick way to change different sounds when we play live. The best thing would be if I could arrange one bank for each song. I know it's not really made for playing live gigs but it's so good in all other aspects.
Help please!
Hello!
I think, there are two ways of changing sounds on K2000 very quickly. I'm using a K2000RS for my own.
1.) In the Kurzweil's Musician's Guide (Chapter 8) you'll get explained how to use 'QUICK ACCESS MODE' where you can create your own soundbanks for live-acts.
2.) Another way for loading sounds to valid MIDI-Channels very quickly is to record them as one track into your sequenzer in SONG MODE. Only a short tune recorded on all needed channels is reqired for putting all these sounds into the right positions with one touch only (push the play button for starting the short tunes!).
When this mini-track's recording is finished save the bank containing this track on your disc WITH dependend objects. So you can load again the whole bundle in one step.
