my yamaha ystm50 speakrs are, after years of use, beginning to crackle and distort a bit. wondering if there's a decent replacement out there. or is it possible/advisable to use a 3-pc computer spkr setup for monitoring? I noticed that yamaha sells the same ystm rig at computer stores sometimes...and I've grown accostumed to the subwoofer.
don't want to spend a ton...thanks in advance for any/all ideas....

Tom. If you want a speaker system of similar to the YSTMS50 (which I also have)
The ALTEC LANCING 621 have Satellites + Sub-base and are in my opinion better than the YST's.
