Does anyone have any idea how to convert Kurzweil k2000 diskettes to WAV files, soundfonts, etc. - so that I can bring them in to my Cubase 5 software or import into my Alesis QS 6.1?

There is a "wav2krz" program available online somewhere, but I've not used it. If you own a K2000, you can export any sample as a .wav file (at least with OS 3.54 this is possible) by using the save...export...wav functions in disk mode.

I think what chansen wants to do though is the complete opposite to Barts wav2krz program, which by the way can be found in the Kurzweilzone section in this site.
I have never converted a .krz file to a .wav file. You might want to e-mail Bart and ask him if he has ever done this.

Thanks both... for the reply... I took my diskettes down to the local music store and was able to save out the wave files from the .krz files on a K2600 (love to own one of those!)
I think I can rent someone's Kurzweil for the weekend and convert most...
I will check out the software both of you mentioned...
