I'm trying to hook up my SCSI Zip (100) to my K2vx, without my PC involved and all I get is "DIRECT ACCESS, ASLEEP" . Am I trying to something that's not possible? I have VERSION 3.54 upgrade installed. All the info Kurzweil has, involves PC. I need storage and easy access to about 200 seq. while on st

Which version 3 OS do you have? There are many. I expect that you have 3.18 and the current version is 3.54. The only way to avoid the "lock" without upgrading your OS is to eject the ZIP disk when you are done using it.
