I have owned a PC88 for around 3 years. The keyboard action has been repaired monthly (the lead weights cause the action parts to fall apart). This seems to have been a design problem from what the techs tell me. Has anyone ever replaced the action with a better unit such as roland? I want to keep the keyboard due to the quality of the sounds etc. Any help would be appreciated

When was the last time this unit was repaired? The current replacment parts which have been available for over a year should prevent this from happening ever again.

Thanks for your reply, The unit was repaired last week (again). I don't think that the local repairer was aware there was replacemtn action components available (he has been using a pc88 and robbing parts to repair mine). I will notify him of this development,
Thanks once again

Robin,

I would suggest that you replace the complete key bed. You'll be amazed at the difference.
