Ziggy,
musicians that come in and play the keyboard love the sounds and the styles. One guy didn't like the style, he thought it didn't look as "new" as other models. I didn't agree stating that the silver color has become the standard of all new keyboards and his other objection was about the look of the screen, which he liked the older WK8 "blue" look and again I disagreed because the new screen seems to have much more definition in it's clarity.
Price has been an issue at first because everybody wants as good a keyboard as they can possibly get for the least amount of money and it's not that easy for people to part with over $3500.00 for a keyboard that many have never heard of this brand before.
Personally, I still love the sounds and the styles after having this around for a few weeks. The question of what kind of a case would you put this in comes up with each customer. I've been told that there will be cases available through Generalmusic but I don't have any information yet.
I really don't have any negatives to report. I would like to see a larger Hard Drive because mine has only a 1.4GB and I don't think this is very big in todays market. It was explained to me by Chris Anthony that you really don't need a larger drive because after you record you can save it or copy your work onto a CDRW disk and have everything available to you that way.
Only having the one keyboard so far, I've not wanted to sell the only one I have.
I've had several middle eastern musicians come to listen to what I have available in Middle Eastern music and I've been able to show them the WK oriental kit which I've loaded into the Genesys. It works great, but they want to hear some new styles developed for this new keyboard and are hoping to get some new sounds since samples can be loaded into the Genesys. I know that these styles and sounds are being developed now by different people and I am anxious to here them.
