Does anybody know if these vocal removers work.And how well? Terryc

They used to work before stereo effects washed the vocals on the center channel. The idea is that it removes the signal in the dead center of the mix .... usually vocals, but in todays modern studio's - vocals are washed in a bath of stereo reverb and other effects that pan both side, and the electronic unit will not remove the side signals.

They worked pretty well on LP Records but leave a lot to be desire when working with CD's. Almost always there is a "ghost image of the vocals" that can certainly be heard.

In fact, when you make the adjustments to remove even more of the vocals you will also remove parts of the music. In other words,
their is a great deal of compromise that may or may not work depending on your expectations.
