During the past several weeks, more than a dozen emails have come in, all asking the same question pertaining to making new registrations on the PSR-3000. The following was sent to Ton in Austrailia, however, I believe it would be beneficial to all 3000 owners.
Here's how:
Press the "J" button and the previous registration will be dislayed. Now press the SAVE button (bottom of #6) and rename the registration to NEW. Don't worry, the old registration will still be in memory and will not be overwritten.
Now select the NEW registraion, then press EDIT (bottom of #8 ) and the old registration information will be displayed. Press DELETE (bottom of #5), select ALL and all registration slots will be cleared in the "NEW" registration only. After clearing the files, save this registration again. It will be empty, but that's OK because you can now use it as a format.
Now, to make a new registration, press the "J" button, select the newly created "NEW" registration, then press save and tyle in a new name such as Big Band, Jazz, etc. Now select the newly named registration, the registration indicator lights should be off, all slots will be clear and you're ready to make the new entries. By doing this you'll start with a clean slate every time and NEW will always be empty.
Good Luck,
Gary
