First... how do you get the harmonizer to work with a Tune 1000 Midi file (harmony channel 5)
Second... how do you get the RAM sounds to load when the KB is turned on or, even better, permanently. Thanks in advance..JC

JC,
Without being in my store let me see if I can answer this.
To get the harmonizer to work on a tune 1000 song (channel 5 ) :
1) select the song you want
2) press GM part function button
3) use the page buttons and page up to part 5
4) function I think7 (might be 6 or 8 says Part = voice. Push the function button to say vocalize.
Now you can start your song and sing and the vocal harmony will be on part five.
Next, to do an auto load, you must select the sounds you want to autoload and then push the save/enter button and the exit key at the same time and this will create a new file which will be the power on autoload file. You can't permanantly place these sounds in the keyboard.
I hope you understand all this.

George,
The 'autoload' of sounds-function does not work, at least not in my SD1.
I wonder why ?

Hi George and thanks for the quik response..The midi vocalist info worked great!!! The auto load for RAM sounds did not, as Roel has indicated. I spoke with Bell/Solton today (not Lou he is in Nashville)No one seems to know about a complete user manual coming soon?? I can only hope this is not the case. What have you heard George? Thanks again for your help.

Team,
I will be coming out with a 'KETRON SD1 Quick start and Guide' soon. This will be a little more detailed than the current equivalent manual that was produced for the X-series which can be got from George Kaye(more information on MIDI, SAMPLING etc will be covered).

Please let me know any suggestions as to what topics/areas in particual you would want me to focus on as time goes on.

Thanks,

AJ

Quick Start:
Playing preset voices
Playing user voices
Playing program voices
Playing RAM voices

Playing Styles
Playing RAM Styles
Saving Custom styles

New features

Using the Sampler

Using the Sequencer

Using the vocal harmonizer

Using registration memory

Playing MIDI files

Autoload on powerup

Using drum features, mixer, manual, vocal.

Tips

Using hard disk for storage

Data Backup to PC
...

Can you make it available electronically via the web or via email? It would get to us much quicker than printed manual. Get us a draft copy as soon as possible and we can all contribute to it.

Henry

I received an answer to the autoload question from Sandro at Ketron. Select Sound Load (button on panel below screen)select sounds you want/create folder/then select folder & press save ...autoload will flash briefly... this will initialize an autoload when you turn on your SD1. When the SD1 is turned on, after OS is loaded you will see a screen asking you to ESCAPE autoload or EXECUTE autoload. If you do nothing it will start the autoload function(on its own) and the sounds you selected for your folder (you can name it what ever you want) will be loaded into the RAM area. To my surprise this is in the manual!!
I must thank DanO for forwarding my question to Sandro. Sandro replied very fast!! This really impressed me! I can tell you this does not happen with all companies!!
