I got my PSR2000 two days ago.
I notice that the harmonised vocaals are distorted even at a very low mic level. Mic Effect is perfect clean at high mic levels also, but as soon as I turn the vocal harmony on, the harmonized voice is distorted.

Is anybody else's PSR2000 exhibiting the same behaviour?

Can any PSR2000 owner confirm this? Is this a problem with just mine or am I setting up something wrong. I haven't used Vocal Harmony before..

I hope that you have things set up wrong. If not, I hope that it's just your keyboard. That can be fixed or exchanged. I would go into the vocalizer controls and adjust the vocalizer balance from there. I would explore a little bit.

I doubt Yamaha would produce thousands of keyboards with distorted vocalizers. And their quality being excellent, I doubt there is anything wrong with your keyboard.

I would like to hear if anyone who has this keyboard has tried the vocalizer.

The harmonizer on mine works great. Try initializing it to the factory settings in case some of the parameters were accidently changed. Perhaps an effect such as Distortion was assigned to the harmonizer voices some way.

I played with the mic/line setup and level on the back. sound ok now. thanks for your help.
