I just got off the phone with an outfit in Arkansas that sells the mic for $361 plus $25 freight. And, while the claim they have sold thousands of them, and rarely have a return, they have never sold the hard-wired model and do not stock the mic. The manufacturer didn't have the mic in stock either and said it would take at least two to three weeks to get one to the distributor. The distributor normally offers a 45 day return policy on all their equipment, including mics, however, in this case, because it's a model they don't normally stock, they would not accept returns if the mic didn't meet my needs. Therefore, I have a friend who is purchasing one in the next few weeks, so I'll try his out and let you know what happens. Cheers, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy

I love the sound quality of the Crown CM-311A. It's outstanding, but the fit is just very uncomfortable, eslecially after wearing it for 4 to 5 hours. Additionally, the mic is very obvious, perched right at your lips and the windscreen is about the size of a quarter. The E6 looked like a dream come true, but omni directional mics just don't cut it, especially when you are just a few feet from your speakers. Cheers, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy
