If you've been following over the last months, I've written that if your Matrix-6 has one voice that behaves differently from the others, you can swap the places of 2 voice chips and for some reason that takes care of the problem. BUT in my case I lunched one chip in the process so had to look for one anyway. NOTE that the widely available 3396 chips are NARROW 24pin pkgs. while the originals are WIDE pkgs. You can get around this by soldering (ULP) the new chip to a wide DIP header; these are available from Digikey in Thief River Falls,MN/USA. I found their website was very handy. PS where have the Obie users gone?mn
