I wasn't sure if all our 'Philly' family members were aware of this ... http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum25/HTML/004071.html

My condolences to his family.

I emplore all of you to get periodic protstate exams every 6 months. Just had mine and it is a great relief when it's normal and also catching early enough for treatment. If you don't take care of yourself, who will?

All of you GUYS, that is ... ...
But SERIOUSLY, my elevated PSA was detected during my annual physical, and thank God my Doctor had me checked further ... we caught it real early and got rid of it ...

WOW, BeBop ... I guess as long as you're getting the PSA tested frequently ... and it's not the number as much as how it changes ... I have a friend whose PSA total has been 12 for years ... but ALL biopsies have come back negative, fortunately ...
When the Doc told me I had it he said it was in the earliest stages, and if I wanted, we could just watch it ... I said "are you going to do a PSA test everyday?!?" ... "it's there, lets get rid of it" ...
Tom ... glad you're doing well also ...

I heard him play many times at Vet Stadium and Citizens Bank Park. He actually goes way back to Connie Mack Stadium...amazing

I had no idea he passed away.

He was a part of the Phillies for a long time.

He will be missed.

Here's how I'll remember

I met Paul when I sang the National Anthym for the Phillies/Mets game waaaaay back in 1984. He was a real gentleman when I asked him to just give me a Bb chord and let me sing accapella. (I was afraid the almost 2 second delay would screw me up.)
He was gracious enough to allow it, and that day was one of the highlights of my carreer.
God Speed, Paul ! Thanx for years of entertainment at the ballpark !
