Does anyone know how to change a tone in a sequence while it is playing, or not playing for that matter..I am starting to get frustrated with the little things this board can't do, even though I like the vocalizer and a few other things, it may not be worth my time to use it live by itself..I am trying to be patient, but it may be replaced with a Discover 5, especially if I have to bring another board anyway..The G1000 and the DisCover module is starting to make better sense to me..If I am still frustrated in a few more days the 2100 will be up for grabs,..let me know if you are interested[ always a fair price ]..

The mixer section calls up a meny of EQ, volume, effects etc... First choose the Vol/Tone page. Then push the same button till you see the 16 SMF part numbers. Select the correct line (the icons for the tones appear) Push the up/down button to get you to the select window for that tone .... Wait - you're coming over here in a few hours - I'll show you then ! Silly me.
It's not such a chore.

It's fairly easy for me to work with ( 2k in my case ) . Just a matter of getting used to it's OS after 2 plus years with the PA80. It would be a winner for me for live play ( 2k or 2100 ) if... there was a seperate real time control for panel voice volume ala the PA80's assignable slider ( I like adjusting on the fly ), and the key feel was better. Still, my 2k has some practical uses here in the studio and I can live with it temporarily for live use ( for as little live work as I do ) IF the PA80 ever went bad on me. I always feel more comfortable with a backup even though my PA80 has never had any glitches / issues from day one. I STILL love the thing after 2 and a half years. That's gotta be a record for me ( although I loved my poly6 for many years too )
If I played the PSR2100 in organ mode/split mode with no arranger function (i.e. if I were playing with other musicians) could the volume pedal then be used as an expression pedal? Starkeeper

Absolutely, I do it sometimes myself. Just plug a volume pedal (I use Yamaha) into the pedal input. The default is complete keyboard, I think. You can set it to control R and/or left sounds or overall. DonM
