HI: B2
I have had the Yamaha MS400 powered speakers since
August 2001, they came out in June or July of 2001.
I have got around 1200 hrs. on them & have had no trouble
with them at all. And I do crank them up, lot's of volume,
the nick-knack stuff the wife has falls off the wall's & the stuff
in the hutch keeps moving around.
They are 400 watt output (300 low freq. 100 hi freq.)
They have 15" woofer, which I like.
They have good bass,& mid range, hi range is sharp &
crystal clear.
They have Line In / Out XLR & 1/4"
Mic In XLR
Line Volume Control
Mic Volume Control
Master Volume Control
And 2 Band EQ
They weight around 45lbs. but are easy to carry, they have
2 recessed handles 1 on each side.
And the heat sink on the back does NOT get hot.
I had FBT Maxx4a first they were good also but they had 12" woofer
& I started to have trouble with one of them after only 6 month's.
They did have more bass but less mid range then the Yamaha's,
I had the EQ of the keyboard setup for use with the FBT's & when
I got the Yamaha MS400's I had to turn up the LF, EQ for the bass
in the keyboard
to get the same sound, but I still have plenty LF to go if I want, but
no need.
So far I'm very happy with them.
Enjoying the 9000 PRO
