Yes, some very common operations do require more steps than on other keyboards. It is not a problem if you have prepared everything - songbook, performances, playlists, etc. - from home, but of course this is not always possible or even desirable.
However, when you try out the Pa800, please take a look at page 298 in the manual. This page describes a lot of shortcuts that make the navigation a little easier for many common situations. Many of these shortcuts are actually quite logical and easy to remember, by example pressing the SHIFT key together with the HARMONY key brings you directly to the Voice Processor settings.
