Hey everyone. I'm new here. But I'm not new to these man-toys that we all adore! Anyway. I don't really do a lot with keyboards, even though i realize just how fun they can be. I'm a drummer, and I just bought me a set of Roland V-drums, which arent much different from keyboards!

BUT ANYWAY!! I'm looking into getting the RS-5. It seems to be a great all around keyboard. A great sound bank, hands on sound creation, so on, so on. And i'm working on a tight budget, so it seems almost perfect.

So heres the point. Is it all its cracked up to be? I have a home recording studio im building, and stage performances here and there. So i dont need all that insane editing power, would i?

Let me know! Thanks guys.

- Andy

I don't edit it alot.the best thing about it is the Drums.they come from the XV-88.also I like the sax and almost all the acoustic sounds."comparing to a korg Karma".

P.S I did not edit IN ACOUSTIC SOUNDS only in Lead sounds.

The only thing keeping me from purchasing a RS-5 for use as a controller is that it doesn't send aftertouch. I'm not worried about the lack of expandability because I already have a XV-5080.
