on grooveboxes, right, over the last couple of years i've wanted to get intro the production of dance music. and in a year or so i'' be buying a pc, soundcard, software etc but until then i want to try out a groovebox but the trouble is i don't know anythin about them.
if you anything about them ie)
what other equipment i'd need to use the groovebox.
what equipment can be used with a groovebox.
will i be able to use a groovebox with a pc and midi keyboard?
basically if you know anything could you let me know? cheers. anyone know of any good grooveboxes?

Well, first of all... To use a Groovebox with a computer you need nothing more, only a Midi cable and a soundcard to connect the midi cable...! But, Grooveboxes like the new ones from Roland are easy to use, switch them on and start playing around. You can use mostly of the grooveboxes as a stand alone machine and as a sound module. I own, just for phun, the Roland D2 with the whole MC505 soundset, great thing. I only use that machine as a sound module...! It rocks! Maybe you should check out some Boxes from Roland and Yamaha at your music store...!
