My D-50 works well as a MIDI controller but last month it stopped making any sound on its own either through the headphone jack or the main outputs. I have checked to make sure local is on. My thought at this point is to try to do a factory reset. I don't have a manual. Does anyone know how to reset this synth? Thanks in advance.

Press and hold "SPACE" & "DATA TRANS" buttons while you power up.
This only resets the D-50's system, it shouldn't reset the patches.

Do you get patch names, as I'm wondering if the internal battery is failing.
BTW the is a 'test; mode as well:
"SPACE" & "DECREMENT" allows you to check hardware.
"SPACE" & "INCREMENT" tests the audio.
