I own a wonderful S750 sampler, which is the centre of my musical world. It is fitted with the original processor. There was an upgrade processor developed. I've asked Roland ... they are now out of stock of the upgrade.
Is it worth getting one fitted? Does it make any real improvements to sound/time/usability?
Does anyone know where I could get hold of a processor ... are there any out there in the ether?

I still use the Roland original software for the unit.
Is there anything better available?

Does anyone out there have any skills in re-programming it?
... I have some real problems with a few of the ways it works & would love to be able to sort them out.

Thanks.

I have been tracking this one down for a long time now. I got very close when I found out the UK Roland users group had stock - but they have gone bust!

Someone has got stock of these but I don't know who. I spoke to a service engineer in NY, he said he thought the kit was made in LA somewhere.

It's basically a speed increase on the processor clock (like you can on PC's) but its not just a replacement clock, there is a board too. It tightens the MIDI timing up (why I want it) and speeds processing time. No new features though.

If anyone knows anything about these kits (even a list of parts) please let me know.
