This past weekend, we played outdoors and had serious power problems. Apparently, the power company was sending rolling brownouts to our location and we were only getting 108 volts. My amplifier was cutting in and out from the low voltage.

I did some research and found the Line-R 600VA Automatic Voltage Regulator for $75.00. This keeps a constant voltage to your equipment irregardless of surges or dropouts from 50-150 volts.

Anyone have experiences with other similar equipment ?

Hello.

The perfect solution is a UPS since that will actually supply the power your missing for as long as your gear need it.

However… buying something like this takes a little consideration first. How much gear do you plan on running off it, and how many WATT’s of power does all that gear eat up ?. Once you know that, they you can buy the perfect UPS for the job.

Regards.
James.

Wrinkles,

I was looking at those. Which model actually keeps the line voltage constant? My bass players uses one and highly recommends it also.

Thanks
Al
