I recently auditioned this board this past Saturday and I think I'm in love. I'm interested hin hearing some positive and negative feedback from some owners.

I love mine (S88). I like the ease of programing voices, performances, sequencing and sampling. The SRX board options are the best of the rompler world. The keyboard action on the 8 is very good. Skip back sampling works quite well.

I've had Triton, Motif & Karma. This board is great for people like me who don't like sequencing.recording with computer software.

Bottom line for me is Zero brain damage when recording. Nothing gets in the way of creative inpulse. Very inspiring.

I keep hearing MOtif ES people trash the S-88 sounds. I can't understand that. I used a Motif Classic for 2 weeks and I played the Yamaha P-250 which the new MOtif ES Piano is based, and through a mono-amp, the Fantom Piano still sounded better than both.

I will need great B3, Sax, and Brass sounds to go along with the Piano. How does the Fantom stack up with those?

The on board sounds are pretty good to my ears, but the SRX boards really shine. The SRX-06 complete Orchestra has awesome brass, Pretty good Sax and lots of fine strings. SRX-03 Studio has a few nice piano's and a B3 that I like better than the organ on the S8.
