If you have a Psr9000 try this master EQ Setting and let me know how much clearer and less muddled your overall sound is. Its amazing what a little EQ will do.

Go To: Mixing Console

Use Page Control GoTo: H.EQ

Setup User 1 EQ as follows:

0db -1db +1db +2db 0db

Press Store (save to user1)

now press preset 1 EQ..play a song/style....

while playing, press your new User1 EQ and listen to the difference and how much clearer it sounds. let me know what you think? i use this setting on gigs where the room acoustics are very bassey and muddled. Singing thru the keyboard is also cleared up too.

good luck

Dnj,
I agree with you on the EQ setting. I don't have the PSR-9000, but I do have a Casio MZ-2000 and it has a master EQ as well, plus you can really go deep into the settings to bring the board alive. Most boards that have master EQ's, their default settings are generally lower and a little muffled. This was the problem with my MZ. After making some alterations it really brought the board to life.

hey sqeak,

Yes I agree 100%. Its nice that on the Psr9k you can switch between the different master EQ settings in real time too. I also go a little further by adjusting the seperate instruments within a registration if need be also, each Reg needs some TLC but the rewards are well worth it.
