Hi!
Please I need some help.
My A90ex (1996-97 no upgrades/updates) doubles events like note ons, controlers, etc and I noticed it in my sequencers event list window.
I also noticed (and it was first) that when I use a piano+pad patch (2 parts only), besides the 64 note polyphony, the chords sound like fast arpeggios or with some little delay.
Maybe these problems are connected.
Have you seen something like that?
If so, would you like to help me?
Thank you for the attention.

It sounds like the master is transmitting (or is being received by) both; local and midi events. Check your zone configuration(s) and see if there is any conflicting assignments.

The double events were corrected by a new A90ex performance configuration on internal/external zones. Thank you!
But the "arpeggio chords" thing still remains. I'm using only 2 parts patches. I think it's a limitation of the machine.

The arpeggio problem you are describing sounds like to me you might be running out of note polyphony-for one reason or another. I don't know how much polyphony the A90 has, but you might want to try checking your assignments to each patch of your sound layer. Obviously if you are playing big block style chords -you might have to use less layered patches to conserve note polyphony.

The A-90EX (with VE-RD1) is 64-Voice polyphonic. A 2-Part performance should rarely have voicing problems unless you are using a LOT of piano chording with damper.

The 'arpeggiation' problem sounds like you have a MIDI delay/loop occuring. If you are playing back a specific MIDI score, try temporarily disconnecting the A-90's MIDI Out to the PC and see if it stops.
