Could be you're all already aware of this, but I just discovered, I can overwrite the factory presets on the PA. So that means I can lose the unwanted waltzes and polkas I have no use for and replace then with styles I can use.

Godwald....I'm not sure what anyone else may do, but of all the synths I've had, Ive not seen that feature before. I was excited to dump some of the junk off there and put some of the stuff I really use in it's place instead.
I can't figure out why that is not a standard feature on evey board produced even the workstations. I have yet to see or play a board that I thought....I love every sound and wouldn't change a one.

Yes, KORG TRITON also has this feature... i guess it is unique to KORG synths.

Well, I must say, this is a very good feature, and I have been looking at the PA80 very closley. However, until I can get to know how many simultaneous effects + REVERB you can have on the PA80, I will not rest .

What I mean is this (been through this before BTW)... Can you have Overall reverb working with the 4 DSP's you have??, like, for example, if you use Flanger, Phaser, Delay, Rotory(Four effects - on tracks 1,2,3,4, is it possible to add reverb to **ALL** of these sounds?? Because if the reverb counts as a DSP effect, then, in effect, (pun intended) you WON'T be able to use ANY other effect (like Phaser, Flanger etc) if you want Reverb on Four different Parts!. I hope I'm not confusing you, but it is this "little thing" that is seperating me from Buying, and not buying the Korg PA80 (the main reason why I haven't purchased the Korg LE Triton as a second Keyboard, is because it only has *ONE* Insert effet). This really spoils it a lot for me.

So (just an example) what I would want on the PA80 is:

Track 1 Piano with Chorus

Track 2 Strings with Phaser

Track 3 Organ with Rotory

Track 4 guitar with Distortion.

....AND, BEING ABLE TO APPLY REVERB TO ALL of the four effects, so each track has reverb. If it **can** do this, I will order one Monday without Delay' (pun unintended this time , If it Can't, then well???????, I wonder....

you have two effects for style section
and two effects processors for keyboard section...

same as in 1-30 meant that, each group of two effects is like i-30.

YAMAHA and KORG Insert effect differ in a fundamental way.
In YAMAHA, an INSERT EFFECT can only be applied to one track. In KORG INSERT EFFECT is more like an effect buss. And more than one tracks can be patched to an insert effect, but you don't get send level from each track. For example if you patch track 1 and track4 to IFX1, which is delay.. both tracks will be processed in equal amounts.

What Nimrod is asking can be accomplished on TRITON, PSR9000, 9000Pro, and PSR2000 (only 3 tracks)

PSR2000 has an enormous DSP section.
You get:
1 Master EQ - 5 band parametric
32 parts 2 band EQ. Each track has it's own Hi and Low Freq gain.
DSP1 (Can be set as Master or Insert)
DSP2 with send level
DSP3 with send level
DSP4 with send level
Chorus
Reverb
From each track, there is send level for
Reverb
Chorus
DSP1

Those are a whole lot of effects to be piling up on a sound(s) I can though see where that may make a difference working live but not in the studio, where I think it works best to go as clean as possible into the recording and add the effects post input.
Even live, I would still use an outboard effects processor for some of those effects.
