I had to jump in defense of the Tyros 2 today, and basically the whole arranger concept on a Roland forum. Some dipwad made the classic mistake of making an "uneducated purchase". He bought a Fantom X8.., the board was clearly too much for him, and he sold the unit and bought himself a Tyros 2 to replace the unit.
Well of course there were the as expected assh*@ who started knocking arrangers and one guy took a cheap shot at the players themselves.
It just really irks me when I see people with no knowledge of what an arranger is and what it does. I'm an odd ball here at times as I like BOTH. I mess my pants at the wheel of a killer arranger just as I do sitting in front of a meaty synth

So many synth junkies out there have no idea what the "bread and butter" sounds are like on an arranger keyboard. So many Yamaha Motif fanatics don't even know that many of the voices they're always bragging about on their Motifs came from the Tyros....
Man I see a West Side Story here. Only this time when both sides meet we're armed with arrangers and synths
