Just picked up a new Roland 30 watt powered monitor, that really solved a problem for me.

The Pa I do my one-nighters with is a 4 ohm minimum 200 watt Carvin. I've either been using one 8 ohm speaker and a hot spot, or two 8 ohm speakers and a separate amplifier to power a monitor or two when one cabinet won't get the job done.

This little thing mounts on a mike stand, has three channels, including rca in, and works GREAT as a near filed monitor for keyboard/guitar jobs. 30 watts isn't much, but, for a typical job playing quietly for 100 or so people, at 13 or so pounds (I'm guessing)and about 8"x10"x10" (again,Guessing) it does the job. At $179.95 from Musicians Friend, it's a bargain.

check it out...!
