I have done a search and cannot find the threa but I recall asking this (and someone answering, maybe DonM).

I am thinking about selling my 12-channel Carvin PA system. Some guys I am playing music with have a PA and for solo, hauling all this stuff around is hard. So, say I was doing a solo acoustic show, guitar/vocal. Would the Logitech 2200 system suffice for small venues?

I would need a mixer. What model could you recommend? That is CHEAP but decent.

BTW, _finally_ today I got an email from Amazon that my Logitech 2200 system has shipped this morning. I figured it would fall through as an out-of-stock thing like the Buy.com order I placed.

Bill,
I can highly recommend the Behringers. I have a 1202 FX Pro ($149.) and a 1222 FX Pro ($169.)
If you don't need effects, the 802 is around $50.!
Also Alesis has a 6-channel with effects for $99. and it is excellent.
There are several threads indicating the Logitech system is more than adequate for up to 75-100 people. I have two of them now, but not sure why I got the second!

So, also big question is the Logitech producing a decent sound for acoustic guitar and vocal. I mean, I guess if you guys sound good with keys/vocal, guitar/vocal would be fine as well? Again, I know little about sound.

Sound is very subjective, tho it looks like you're gonna find out for yourself in a few days. I'm willing to bet you'll be very happy with the system.

I bought Behringer UB1202 mixer for like $80 , you should check it out - it has 4 mic inputs and 4 pair ouf other inputs.

The other similar model is PHONIC MM1202a that you should also look into same specs as Behringer but better features ! Same price too

I haven't tested the FX in the Behringer, but the FX in the Alessis mixers are WAY below my tolerance level. The basic reverb is marginal at best, but the overall quality of the EQ is fine.
Maybe the Behringer is the hot ticket right now?
