It's a Japanese company, but the arrangers are made in Italy.

Isn't Korg still owned by Yamaha? It's definitely a Japanese-owned company, but all of these companies make different products in different countries. Arrangers are really big in Europe, so it's no surprise many are designed and/or made there.

Korg has never been owned by Yamaha. Several years ago, Yamaha's President loaned Korg's president, who are good friends, some money to grow the company larger. This loan was repaid and there is no connection other than friends. Korg does buy Yamaha made key beds for use in some Korg models. Just as many companys use Fatar made key beds in their keyboards.

Even though they own a "large portion" Doug, that doesn't necessarily mean they own a "Majority" of the stock.

It would be interesting to know exactly how much (what %) Yammie really owns though. Whatever amount it is apparently it doesn't impose restrictions or hinderances in innovation and marketing competition between them. In another words, I don't think their in cahoots with each other. Although I could be wrong about that.
Just give me my PA1-X the way I want it with all my wish list features included Korg or that new Monster board with the same from you Yammie and I'll be a happy camper.

Best regards,
Mike
