A few weeks ago I installed the USB interface to my computer and I have been having problems since then. For example I can not load any stuff (like midis or styles) from the keyboards internal hard disk. I have for example the song player on and I press the START button to start the song but nothing happens. The same with styles. With midi files there is a .- marks before the name of the song. Why? I can not see any .- on the computer (Mac OS X). Also sometimes my computer gets stuck when I try to copy some stuff to the keyboards internal hard disk.

Also the installation of the interface was very difficult. Now I can not for example put the screws back that hold the hard disk because then the HD is not connected and the keyboard doesn´t recognize it. I hope that everyone understands me because my english is so bad. Are there any finns around here?

Micco,

I don't know how to say this to you, but...
I think you installed it incorrectly.
I know the installation instructions seem like there were things left out, but that is why they recommend taking the keyboard to an authorized service center for the install. I'm obiviously working off the premise that the kit they sent you is fine. Everything regarding your hard drive should reassemble and have proper mounting if all the install instructions are followed correctly. YES! it is a RATHER (for Scott) difficult installation. It is critical that all the connections be made exactly as described by the install guide. Otherwise you will have problems accessing the hard drive for any reason. My recommendation is that you either take it to a service center or reattempt the install yourself keeping in mind how critical the connections are around the hard drive. I know that the orentation of the mounting plate for the hard drive is one of the more confusing changes that must be made. I know that you will really enjoy the interface once you have it up and running. Good Luck to you.
If you have any install questions regarding this product, feel free to e-mail me directly.

Dennis

Yesterday I installed the USB interface again with the instructions and the same thing happened again. I had to make the holes of the hard disks metal piece a bit bigger to be able to put the screws back.

Now I have only problems with MIDI files. I can not play them and the .- symbols are still in front of the songs name. I wonder why. I don´t have problems with styles when I use the disk direct function. Only with some styles I get the message "Illegal data" but that happened also with the zip drive. Has anyone else had these kind of problems with MIDI files?
