#21638 - 02/18/01 06:03 AM How to convert MT32 midi files to General Midi

More than 10 years ago I created some midi files for the Roland D5.
Now I would like to convert them to General Midi. Is there a tool to convert the drum tracks, so I don't have to manually select notes and replace them?
Thanks,
Feddo

My old Amiga sequencer, Dr.T's Keyboard Controlled Sequencer, had this ablity.

I thought the GM drum map, and the D-5 drum map was more or less the same.

They are very similar, but it's the differences that I wanted to do a 'search and replace' on. For instance, the MT32 had a rather nice base drum sound at note number 84. In GM it's sorta undefined, on my AWE64 it produces some bird sound (?). So all occurences of note 84 have to be replaced with a note 35 (or 36).
